Schools across India to remain closed on October 19-20 for Dussehra

Numerous schools across India will remain closed on Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20, for Durga Ashtami and Dussehra celebrations.

States including Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Jharkhand, and Bihar officially declared holidays for educational institutions on these dates.

Dussehra marks the end of Navaratri and honours Lord Rama's victory over Ravana and Goddess Durga's defeat of Mahishasura.
