Two workers died following gas exposure at the ESL Steel Limited plant in Jharkhand's Bokaro district, prompting a district administration inquiry.
The deceased were identified as company employee Sohan Mahto and business partner worker Sameer Ansari, both of whom succumbed after hospitalisation.
Family members accused the plant of negligence over missing masks and ambulance delays, while an executive magistrate was directed to report within 72 hours.
