US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appointed Elon Musk, Palmer Luckey, and Newt Gingrich to lead Project Meridian, an initiative examining future warfare technologies.
The project will study emerging areas including artificial intelligence, autonomy, directed energy, robotics, and biotechnology to forecast future conflicts.
The Pentagon has given the initiative a deadline of January 28, 2027, or 120 days after the announcement, to produce its work.
