Tunbridge Wells Primary Schools Implement Smartphone Ban

All 17 primary schools in Tunbridge Wells have adopted a policy banning smartphones and internet-enabled devices on school grounds for the new academic year.

The ban will extend to students in Year 7 and 8 starting in September 2027, citing national guidance and concerns over student wellbeing.

Pupils found violating the policy face confiscation of their smartphones for seven days, while basic phones will be seized for 24 hours.
