Government Approves Transfer of DRDO Missile Tech to Private Industry

The Union Government has officially cleared the transfer of advanced missile technology developed by DRDO to private Indian defence manufacturers to accelerate domestic production.

The initiative focuses on key systems including the Astra and Pralay missile platforms, aiming to reduce reliance on imports and enhance the nation's conventional strike capabilities.

Private firms will now be eligible to bid for production contracts, with the Ministry of Defence overseeing the technology handover to ensure strict adherence to security protocols.
