Trump Hosts Xi for White House State Dinner Amid Tensions

U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Chinese leader Xi Jinping for a state dinner at the White House on Thursday, alongside tech leaders including Elon Musk and Tim Cook.

While President Trump claimed they made tremendous strides, President Xi urged both nations to coexist in peace and laid down red lines on artificial intelligence, Taiwan, and the Iran war.

President Xi's visit concludes on Friday with a trip to the U.S. National Archives to view the Declaration of Independence on its 250th anniversary.
