Walmart Launches New Tools Enabling AI Agents to Shop for Customers

Walmart introduced new tools enabling artificial intelligence agents to shop and complete online commerce transactions on behalf of customers.

The retailer will launch Agent Profiles next month, allowing shoppers to set spending limits, monitor AI purchases separately, and revoke access at any time.

The Walmart Agent Gateway platform will let AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Muse connect directly with Walmart and Sam's Club systems.
