Nepal has reported 2,844 dengue cases across 74 of its 77 districts between January 1 and August 15, with two confirmed deaths recorded in 2026.
Gandaki Province has the highest infection count with 1,010 cases, followed by Koshi with 674, Lumbini with 435, and Bagmati with 427 reported infections.
The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division has launched a three-month awareness campaign running from mid-July to mid-October to eliminate mosquito breeding sites during the monsoon season.
