Lawyers at the Allahabad High Court vandalised courtroom furniture on Wednesday after opposing the entry of Justice Ajay Bhanot following a controversy over his alleged behaviour during proceedings.
The High Court Bar Association had earlier written to Chief Justice Arun Bhansali on Tuesday accusing Justice Bhanot of humiliating an advocate and mocking senior counsel V P Srivastava.
The association's letter claimed the judge used harsh language to order an advocate to jail and demanded he apologise to a police officer present in the room.
