A 23-member Indo-Tibetan Border Police expedition led by Deputy Commandant Parikshit Shah successfully scaled the 7,355-metre Mt Abi Gamin in Uttarakhand on September 16.
The team was flagged off from New Delhi on August 7 by Director General Shatrujeet Kapur after undertaking weeks of demanding high-altitude training.
Located in the Garhwal Himalayas within Chamoli district, the peak's summit sits on the India-Tibet frontier near Mt Kamet.
