Cyber agency warns websites may go dark as PHP prepares critical fix

The developers of the PHP programming language announced on Wednesday they would release patches for two critical vulnerabilities rated 9.2 on the CVSS v4.0 severity scale.

The European Union Computer Emergency Response Team warned that organizations unable to immediately apply the upcoming patches should consider taking affected websites offline.

Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht stated that early attacks were emerging and the firm was updating its firewall rules as a temporary stopgap measure.
