Suchika Tariyal Wins Historic Mixed Martial Arts Bronze at Asian Games

Suchika Tariyal secured a bronze medal in the women's traditional 60kg mixed martial arts event, claiming India's first-ever Asian Games medal in the sport.

The 36-year-old fighter from Haryana's Rohtak district was eliminated in the semifinal after a tight draw against Singapore's Hui Hoon Teo, who advanced due to a lower body weight.

Tariyal credited her inspiration to boxing icon Mary Kom and dedicated her medal to her supportive family and husband.
