Newly Elected TVK MLAs Maragatham Kumaravel and Sathyabama Take Oath

Newly elected MLAs Maragatham Kumaravel and P. Sathyabama took the oath of office before Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar.

The byelections were held in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram constituencies after the former AIADMK MLAs resigned to join the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

With these wins, the total strength of the TVK in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly has increased to 109.
