Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences performed 19 complex paediatric heart surgeries free of cost during its fifth cardiac surgery camp that concluded on Saturday.
The procedures were conducted in collaboration with Healing Little Hearts by a specialist team led by UK-based paediatric cardiac surgeon Ramana Dhanapuneni.
The hospital screened approximately 1,000 children during the week-long camp, providing cashless treatment for surgeries that typically cost between ₹5 lakh and ₹20 lakh at private facilities.
