Student protests against recruitment irregularities in Jharkhand intensified as police used teargas and lathi-charges against demonstrators near the Vidhan Sabha.

Over 200 ABVP activists were detained during the march, while opposition parties joined Congress in condemning the state government's handling of the unrest.
