Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Writes to PM Modi Opposing Mekedatu Dam Inspection

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing strong concerns over central officials inspecting the proposed Mekedatu dam site.

Vijay warned that Karnataka's proposed 67.16 TMC reservoir project would impair Cauvery water flows and violate Supreme Court stipulations for lower riparian states.

He urged the Prime Minister to withhold any statutory or administrative approvals for the project without the consent of co-basin states.
