National Security Adviser Ajit Doval arrived in Beijing on Monday for the 25th round of Special Representative talks to address the 3,488-km border dispute.
Doval is scheduled to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday, ahead of President Xi Jinping's expected visit to India for the BRICS Summit on September 12-13.
The talks follow a recent standoff in the Arunachal Pradesh sector and aim to build on the October 2024 agreement to normalize ties and manage the Line of Actual Control.
