
Danish filmmaker May el-Toukhy's post-war drama 'Woman Unknown' won the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 63rd Venice Film Festival on Saturday.
Star Mathilde Arcel secured the best actress award, while May el-Toukhy was noted as the sole female director in the main 21-film competition line-up.
John Malkovich won best actor for 'Wild Horse Nine', and Israeli-directed Gaza documentary 'NAZA' received the Special Jury Prize.
