Oil prices settled 2.5 percent lower on Tuesday, with Brent crude down $2.69 at $102.59 a barrel and WTI down $3.22 at $89.38.
The decline was driven by signs of recovering crude exports from the Middle East, including the resumption of tanker loadings at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea port of Yanbu.
Middle East crude exports rebounded in September to 16.328 million barrels per day, the highest level since the US-Israeli war on Iran began in late February.
