Cipla and the Indian National Association for the Study of the Liver (INASL) have launched 'Mission Defeat Hepatitis' to facilitate 2.5 lakh screenings across 8,500 camps.
India currently accounts for 12% of the global Hepatitis B burden, with an estimated four crore people infected, yet only 3% are diagnosed and 1% receive treatment.
The initiative, supported by 5,000 doctors, aims to improve early diagnosis rates to reduce the risk of advanced liver disease among the population.
