Indian Railways Steps Up Festive Crowd Management as Delhi Daily Footfall Hits 8 Lakh

The Ministry of Railways deployed special trains, RPF personnel, 700 AI cameras, and dedicated holding areas to manage Diwali and Chhath Puja rush.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed security and passenger facilities at the New Delhi Railway Station on Friday.

Delhi's major railway stations recorded average daily footfalls of around 8 lakh passengers between November 1 and 5, up from an average of 5 lakh.
