Cloudflare Introduces Kitesurf Browser Engine for AI Agents

Cloudflare has unveiled Kitesurf, a lightweight browser engine designed specifically for automated AI workloads and tasks like HTML extraction.

The engine runs on Cloudflare Workers using Rust-based components, offering lower resource overhead than full Chromium browsers by isolating environments for each page.

While currently experimental and lacking support for features like WebGL, Cloudflare plans to open-source the project and upstream patches to the Blitz engine.
