UK counter-terrorism police arrest five near US air base

British counter-terrorism police arrested five men early Sunday on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act after suspicious vehicles headed toward RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

Authorities advised approximately 85 households in nearby Whelford to evacuate as army bomb disposal experts were deployed to the scene.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the suspects intended to cause significant damage to the military installation and confirmed prior joint investigations.
