Devdutt Padikkal Hits Maiden Test Century Against Sri Lanka

Devdutt Padikkal scored an unbeaten 131 on the opening day of the first Test in Galle, leading India to a dominant 288/2 in 73 overs.

Padikkal shared a massive partnership with KL Rahul, who retired hurt on 77, while Sri Lankan bowler Prabath Jayasuriya claimed the only wicket to fall to a spinner.

The match, which saw rain interruptions, marks the first Test of the series, with India opting for a bowling attack featuring two pacers and three spinners.
