
Google has released Chrome 151, version 151.0.7922.137/.138, to patch five high-severity use-after-free vulnerabilities affecting the V8 engine, Blink rendering engine, and Chrome Extensions framework.
The most critical flaw, CVE-2026-19556 in the V8 JavaScript engine, was discovered by researcher Jihyeon Jeong, who received a $500 bug bounty for the finding.
Users are advised to update their desktop browsers immediately via the 'About Google Chrome' menu to prevent potential arbitrary code execution or sensitive information disclosure.
