Hundreds of Jamia Millia Islamia students attended a general body meeting at the campus Ghalib lawn to demand the restoration of the student union.
The union has remained dissolved since 2006, with student organizations pressing the administration to announce an election schedule.
Following protests, the university administration constituted a committee to draft a union constitution and review disciplinary actions.
