The Stock Exchange of Thailand will implement revised rules starting November 16, modifying short-selling and high-frequency trading regulations to improve market stability and liquidity.
Stocks priced between 5 baht and 50 baht will trade in smaller price increments to narrow bid-ask spreads, while short-selling will be restricted to more liquid securities like SET100 shares.
The exchange will impose additional fees on high-volume order accounts with low execution rates, remove dynamic price bands, and extend morning trading hours for derivative warrants and foreign-linked ETFs.
