At least 21 people were killed and 78 others were injured on Friday after a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a mosque in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Fifteen police officers were among the dead, and the blast caused the outer wall of the police offices to collapse and severely damaged the mosque, according to provincial police chief Zulfiqar Hameed.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and expressed sorrow over the casualties, which followed a security convoy bombing that killed six soldiers on Thursday.
