The Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed further police investigation for seven days in the CMRL-Exalogic payoff case involving former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The interim order allows Vijayan and his family members to challenge a Kerala High Court division bench ruling that directed the registration of a criminal case.
The bench clarified that the stay applies exclusively to the ongoing police investigation and does not affect the validity of the registered FIR.
