72nd National Film Awards Ceremony to Move to Gujarat

The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony will be held in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on September 22, marking the first time in 72 years the event has moved outside of Delhi.

President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards, including honours for Best Actor shared by Mammootty for 'Bramayugam' and Kartik Aaryan for 'Chandu Champion'.

The venue, formerly known as Kevadia, hosts the 597-foot-tall Statue of Unity, and the ceremony will feature major winners like 'Article 370', which was named Best Feature Film in July.
