Three Indian Manuscripts Added to UNESCO Regional Register

Manuscripts of the Mahabharata, Rajatarangini, and Arthashastra were inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Asia-Pacific Regional Register.

The decision was announced at the 11th Session of the regional register held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 5, 2026.

The new additions bring India's total number of inscriptions in the regional register to six.
