Nineteen-year-old Elijah Mayes was arrested and charged with murder and child abuse after an 11-month-old infant, Grayson Walton, was found dead in a Kentucky home.
Police responding to a disturbance call found the child deceased inside a residence in Cleaton while executing search warrants that also recovered methamphetamine.
Mayes had initially provided conflicting accounts to investigators regarding the whereabouts of the child before being booked into the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
