India condemns commercial shipping attacks after two foreign seafarers killed

The Ministry of External Affairs condemned recent attacks on commercial shipping in the Black Sea and Strait of Hormuz that left two foreign seafarers dead and eleven Indian crew members injured.

Eleven Indian crew members of the Panama-flagged vessel MT On Peace were injured on Tuesday by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz and received medical treatment in Oman.

In a separate Black Sea incident, two crew members died and three Indian nationals were safely rescued by Romanian authorities following a fire on MV Royad Mammadov.
