Nothing OS 5.0 Launches With Android 17 Customization

Nothing unveiled Nothing OS 5.0 based on Android 17, introducing a redesigned home screen, separate panels for Notifications and Quick Settings, and improved system resource management.

The update features the new Geist typeface, adaptive color systems for app icons and widgets, and two new lock screen clock faces named Gooey and Micrographics.

New software tools include the Essential Apps Builder for no-code AI app deployment and a Glyph Timer widget that displays remaining time directly on the phone's back.
