Former England Footballer Andros Townsend Survives Pitch Roller Accident

Former England international Andros Townsend avoided serious injury after being run over by a pitch roller during a warm-up in Thai League 1.

Playing for PT Prachuap, Townsend was caught by the vehicle prior to a match against Pattani after landing in its path during an attempted aerial backheel.

Despite being run over across his legs and hip, Townsend avoided serious injury and came on as a stoppage-time substitute in his team's 3-0 victory.
