Jamia University Agrees to Student Demands and Sets Poll Timeline

Jamia Millia Islamia agreed to protesting students' demands on Thursday, setting a timeline to complete the Students' Union constitution by May 15, 2027.

Offline classes will resume on November 2, and student union elections will be held within six weeks of the academic session starting July 16, 2027.

The administration will also revoke all disciplinary actions, show-cause notices, suspensions, and campus bans linked to the 18-day agitation.
