India’s Jagsher Singh Khangurra defeated Yuan-Syue Jhuang to advance to the semifinals at the BWF World Junior Championships in Cairo, assuring India a medal.
After losing the opening game 6-15, the 18th-ranked Indian bounced back to win the next two games 17-15 and 15-12.
Khangurra will next face Radithya Bayu Wardhana of Indonesia in the semifinal of the tournament.
