Lok Sabha Panel Finds Charges Against Justice Yashwant Varma Proved

A three-member inquiry committee led by Supreme Court judge Justice Aravind Kumar has officially found three articles of charges proved against former Allahabad High Court judge Justice Yashwant Varma.

The panel, which submitted its findings to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in May, concluded that Varma provided evasive explanations regarding cash discovered at his residence following a March 14, 2025, fire.

While nearly 200 MPs previously moved a motion for his removal, Varma has since resigned; however, the Union Law Ministry has not yet notified the resignation, leaving his status uncertain.
