iFixit awarded the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 a 4/10 repairability score, noting that the folding screen remains extremely difficult to replace and prone to damage during disassembly.

The device features an IP48 rating, but testing revealed that dust can still enter the hinge mechanism, potentially exposing internal components to debris over time.

Despite the low score, the phone includes modular components like a non-soldered USB-C port and battery pull tabs, which represent minor improvements in design compared to the previous Z Fold7 model.
