Bihar Initiates Transfer Process for 14,700 Surplus Teachers

The Bihar education department has launched a new transfer policy for 14,700 surplus teachers, aiming to redistribute staff to schools with critical shortages across the state.

Following the completion of these transfers, the government plans to initiate the recruitment of 32,388 fresh teachers to fill remaining vacancies in primary and secondary institutions.

The policy is part of a broader effort to improve the student-teacher ratio in rural districts, with the entire process expected to be completed by the end of August.
