Ruckus in J&K Assembly Over Statehood Resolution as BJP Protests

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly faced chaos on Monday as BJP members protested a resolution seeking the urgent restoration of Statehood.

BJP MLAs jumped into the well of the House, tore business papers, conducted mock proceedings, and moved a motion seeking the removal of Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.

The opposition party argued that references to autonomy and special status within the resolution violated the Constitution of India.
