Uruguay defeated India 6-1 in an international friendly in Kolkata on Tuesday after a 30-minute weather delay for lightning broke a competitive first half.
Anirudh Thapa had equalized for India in the 22nd minute before Uruguay dominated the second half with goals from Rodrigo Zalazar, Maximiliano Araujo, Juan Manuel Sanabria and Rodrigo Aguirre.
Uruguay coach Diego Forlan praised his side's performance after their Asian tour continued following a previous 1-3 defeat to Japan and a 4-0 win against South Korea.
