RjD Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Yadav wrote a three-page letter to President Draupadi Murmu on November 6, 2026, requesting strict action against Delhi University Professor Sangeet Ragi.
The MP accused Professor Ragi of using caste-based derogatory remarks and abusive language against the Yadav community during a televised public debate.
Yadav stated that the professor's comments promoted social prejudice and demanded an impartial inquiry alongside a re-investigation of Ragi's research theses.
