Two security screeners were injured at Varanasi Airport on August 16 when a passenger's licensed pistol accidentally discharged during a routine security check.
The passenger had reportedly assured airport staff that the firearm was unloaded, but the weapon fired while being inspected, causing injuries to the two personnel.
