The Delhi education department withdrew its August 17 order that barred students from Class 10 board exams if they failed the third-language (R3) paper.
The correction notice issued on August 18 confirms that the CBSE circular from July 10 will prevail, allowing students to appear for boards regardless of R3 performance.
The R3 requirement, introduced under the National Education Policy 2020, will be assessed through school-based internal evaluation rather than a board exam.
