VVS Laxman Named Coach for Indian Men's Team at Asian Games

BCCI Centre of Excellence chief VVS Laxman will coach the Indian men's cricket team at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, starting September 24.

Laxman, who previously led the team to a gold medal at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, will be assisted by Sunil Joshi, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, and Subhadeep Ghosh.

Captain Shreyas Iyer will lead the men's squad in their title defense, while Amol Muzumdar continues as head coach for the women's team, which faces Japan in the quarter-finals.
