Supreme Court judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan stated on Sunday that any exercise leading to mass disenfranchisement of Indian citizens is intrinsically arbitrary.
In Delhi, petitioners informed the court that 47.56 lakh names were excluded from the draft electoral roll published on August 31, with 33.13 lakh more identified for notices.
