IndiGo, Air India, and Akasa Air have finalized plans to move international operations accounting for three million passengers annually to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
The Mumbai airport operator has asked airlines to submit transition plans for the remaining traffic by November 3 to meet a temporary five million passenger reduction target.
The temporary traffic shift aims to facilitate the long-delayed redevelopment of Terminal 1 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport during the Northern Summer 2027 schedule.
