New Begonia Species Discovered in Arunachal Pradesh

A new species of flowering plant, Begonia neelamorum, has been identified in the Keyi Panyor district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The species is named after the Neelam clan of the Nyishi community and is the 54th Begonia species recorded in Northeast India.

Begonia neelamorum is a small plant, measuring 10-12 cm tall, with white flowers, and is currently known from a single location.
