Construction Starts on New Hazel Trembath Elementary

Construction has officially begun on the new Hazel Trembath Elementary School in Port Coquitlam, which is expected to open in December 2027.

The $39 million project will feature 240 seats, two kindergarten classrooms, and eight elementary classrooms using a hybrid-construction approach.

The original school was destroyed in an October 14, 2023, fire that an RCMP investigation determined was a criminal act of vandalism.
